 1. Path ordained by God

The Bible talks about salvation and eternal life. Esoteric teachings talk about ascension. Ascension is "marriage" of the soul with the Christ, where all that was corrupt and impure has been purified and the soul can stand the trial by the fires of the Holy Spirit. The soul, joint with Christ, becomes immortal because it mastered time and space, i.e. material realm. It then ascends to the spiritual realm and has no need for reincarnation in matter. It learned its lessons and gained its victory in the Light.

God created us with a Christ potential, i.e. a divine spark, and commanded us to multiply our God-given talents and have dominion over the earth. Ascension is the fulfillment of the journey on earth, i.e. the material octave – becoming the fullness of Christ, a mature son or daughter of God.

That should be a normal path of growth for all sons and daughters of God. And it would have been, had we not fallen in the Garden of Eden. There we rejected the true teacher appointed by God and accepted the false doctrine of the Serpent. One commonality of the false teachers is that they deny our Christ potential, and consequently, the potential to be the fullness of Christ. And that's because Christ Son is meant to have dominion on earth, which doesn't suit those who want power and control without bowing to God's Will. Christ Son is dangerous for the godless because he/she cannot be intimidated. And thus, the need for manipulations and lies so that the truth of the real power of the Son would never be known.

2. Accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour – what does it really mean?

When our Christ potential is denied, the ascension doesn't make sense either. If we are mere mortals without a spark of God within, we can be saved only by a merciful act of God who has compassion for us sinners. And whereas it is true that God, out of his great love and compassion for us, sent his beloved Son Jesus Christ to us, it is not true that we aren't his beloved children too. We are, but we are deceived, rebellious and blind, same as the prodigal son was before he made his turnaround.

And that's a profound difference. Who are we at our core? Are we fundamentally different than Jesus? Fundamentally different than God? How can we be, if he created us in his image and likeness? And even though we made two major mistakes in the Garden of Eden (first we ate from the forbidden fruit, then we hid from God instead of coming back and admitting our mistake), it cannot change who we are at our core. It cannot kill the seed of Christ.

We can return to God this instant, no matter how great is our sin, if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. But not in the sense that Jesus is seen as an external savior only, who saved us sinners by his blood on the cross and we don't have to do anything but worship him. No, it means we need to accept the divine spark in us - the image of Christ in which we were made - and start following Jesus as an example, not as an unreachable idol. It means we have to start getting back to the original purity that God created us with, that we have to become more and more Christ-like. That is what salvation, and eventually ascension, means.

We are nobody without God, but as we return and have a profound transformation of our heart, we are reborn, our inherent divine spark is rekindled, and we can start growing in Christhood.

3. We cannot be saved by denying our True Being

How can our soul be saved? It cannot, without the Father. So the first step is to love the Father and return to him. Those who fear God or doubt him cannot be saved because they are still running away from God, even if they profess differently. Many religious people are like that - they have an idea of God, but in their heart they don't know him.

Salvation begins with love and trust in the Father 1. It is a change of heart which then slowly permeates our being and changes the way we think, feel and live our life. It changes the way we see ourselves in relationship with God. It makes us realize we are beloved sons and daughters, and not mortal sinners. We are worthy and beautiful, not a failure, we only need to purify our being (our thoughts, feelings and actions, as well as our physical temple) so that it reflects more of God's perfection.

Our impurities are always related to some attachment to the things of this world, a false idea that we need something other than God. We can have impure thoughts and feelings, and an impure sense of identity. Many Christians, even when they find Jesus and are "reborn", still believe they are mortal sinners. They still believe they are nobody but that in Jesus they have everything, including salvation. But a soul who believes they are nobody cannot be saved, because she doesn't love itself, she doesn't love that what God created. And thus she cannot receive God's love, in fact it subconsciously rejects it.

There are many Catholics who are like that - they believe they need to suffer for their sins forever and they play martyrs, torturing themselves unnecessarily where God wouldn't want them to torture themselves. Martyrdom which stems from love for God - being willing to die for God and Truth - is legitimate. But martyrdom which stems from the lack of self-love, i.e. lack of love for our True Self, is an ego game and unacceptable to God.

4. Mary Magdalene – from sinner to saint

The only way to grow in Christ is to walk with Jesus, with the Father. We cannot do it alone, trying to perfect ourselves before we can appear before God. No matter how low we fell, the moment to return is now. Look at Mary Magdalene – she was as low as the person can get, possessed by seven demons (which could mean perversions in all seven chakras) and yet she came to Jesus because her heart ached for God. She couldn't take the separation any longer, she would have died without God. There is no such sin where God would refuse us back if we sincerely repent. The biggest sin is to never come back – that's what causes the Father the greatest sorrow.

Once we return to the Father, we are back on the path of Christhood. We become a son or daughter again, loving God, wanting to glorify God in our life. And we are determined to purify ourselves from all ego traits and carnal desires. Luke 8:2 says that seven demons had come out from Mary Magdalene – she let go of the ways of the world and purified her being. Today, Mary Magdalene is an Ascended Master, and recognized as Saint in both Catholic and Protestant Church. We all can follow her example.

5. Ascended Masters – true teachers of mankind

The Serpent separated us from God, and is still working today through various harmful philosophies. As soon as there is a true teaching released, there will be those who will misinterpret it and twist it to suit their needs. That's one of the reason why progressive revelation is needed – to rectify the misinterpretations and the damage done by false teachings and to bring God's truth which hopefully will set the children of God free.

Who is most suitable to bring God's truth? Those sons and daughters who walked the path of Christhood before us. They were once here in the physical, faced similar challenges that we are facing, and won their victory! They became the fullness of Christ and earned their ascension. And because they love us, they want to help us.

Ascended Masters have started to talk to humanity in the late 19th century, first through the Theosophical Society. Their teachings were quickly distorted when their messengers fell into pride of conveying such "lofty" teachings. But they introduced for the first time – after long centuries of darkness – the idea that there is indeed a divine spark within each of us and that we are worthy of love. It brought about a revolution in how we see ourselves in relation to God, and helped many people heal from the Christian doctrine that we are sinners by birth.

The problem is that those teachings have been later perverted to mean that we are God already and don't need to be saved, i.e. that our ego is acceptable to God (which is what the New Age spirituality claims). Therefore, there is a constant need for progressive revelation. Luckily, God never stops speaking to those whose hearts are pure and who have ears to hear.

Ascended Masters are still speaking. They help us better understand true Jesus' true message and unlock the truth that we know in our heart.

6. Mother Mary is an Ascended Master

Ascension is reality, same as the path of Christhood. Ascension is not reserved only for Jesus. But in Christianity it is. According to Christian doctrine, Mother Mary didn’t ascend but was "“assumed" into heaven – meaning she wasn't the fullness of Christ when she left embodiment. While the truth is that she was. She was pure and whole in God and passed all her initiations. In fact, she is an Archangel, who out of love for God and his children took embodiment and served as the physical mother of Jesus Christ.

During his entire life she held the immaculate concept for him – the vision that he would fulfill his mission. The vision that he can do it! Wouldn't it be wonderful if all our mothers and fathers could hold such a vision for their children and see them for who they are in God, and love and nourish the Christ potential in them? Wouldn't our world be a better place?

Mother Mary is Mother to all children of God, same as she was to Jesus. She is holding the vision of our victory because she loves us so much. And she sees the beauty of our true being. If you don't feel loved, ask Mother Mary to love you and hold you in her arms, as she held baby Jesus. You don't need to do anything to deserve her love, just be open to receive it.

7. Catholic saints and ascension

Although the Church doctrine denies ascension to anyone but Jesus, there are many souls who earned their victory in the Light, and quite a few Catholic saints among them: John the Baptist, St. Joseph, St. Patrick, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Theresa of Avila, St. Bernadette, Padre Pio, and others. They are now Ascended Masters, some of them known under a different name 2.

It is interesting to notice that Protestant churches generally don't canonize saints, because for them Saint is a title reserved only for those who had direct relations with Jesus or are mentioned in the Bible, such as the twelve apostles, Mother Mary, Saint Paul and a few others. Even if the person gave their life to God and was truly a saint, they don't quite meet the requirements. Nobody does, for that matter, since nobody can compare to Jesus.

This is another harmful doctrine that denies our ability to follow in Jesus' footsteps and win our ascension. In that respect, Catholicism is closer to the truth because it awards sainthood to those who loved God with all their heart, mind and soul, and who spent their life in selfless service to God and their fellow men.

_______________

1 This Father figure is for Christians Jesus Christ, whom we look up to and put our trust in. Jesus Christ is also the universal saviour, because whoever accepts him as the Way, the Truth and the Life, and follows his example of love and surrender to God's Will, can have their ascension.
